Even the most sophisticated PLC program and the most precise mechanics cannot function stably without a reliable, standardized and transparent electrical control cabinet. In our Jászberény plant, we do not just assemble components: we manage the entire process from step zero – from electrical engineering design – to CE certification.

Whether it is complex control of our own designed special purpose machines, modernization of existing systems, or cabinets manufactured in contract manufacturing (build-to-print) based on external designs, Konkoly Electro guarantees durable, safe and documented operation, as well as quality components manufactured by market-leading companies that are reliable in the long term.

The basis of the process: Electrical engineering design

The quality of a switchboard is already reflected in the aesthetics and logic of the cabling. If a professional just looks inside a cabinet, they will get a good approximation of its reliability and the professional level of the designer. At Konkoly Electro, this is precisely why strict design is followed by equally strict assembly and labeling standards, from which we never deviate.

Every wire, terminal block and built-in component is given a clear identifier that matches exactly the marking in the documentation. This maximum transparency means that future maintenance, possible expansion or troubleshooting is radically accelerated. With the systematic, transparent design, we reduce to zero the risk of errors related to the human factor and complex networks.

Precise assembly and immediate transparency

With us, production does not begin without precise plans. After the technical needs assessment and clarification of the technical parameters agreed with you, our engineers begin comprehensive work. We work with modern CAD software (e.g. EPLAN), which results in an error-free circuit diagram as well as an immediately usable, structured documentation and precise parts list (BOM). We pay special attention to the thermal management of the cabinets: by sizing the appropriate cooling, heating and ventilation systems, we drastically increase the service life of expensive electronic components, preventing unexpected shutdowns due to overheating. Meanwhile, wherever possible, we design the cabinet so that it can operate completely or as much as possible with passive cooling, thereby reducing energy consumption and the possibility of errors and the number of moving components.

Strict quality control and CE compliance

No switchgear cabinet leaves the Jászberény plant without thorough and documented testing. In order to ensure maximum safety for operators and maintenance personnel and uninterrupted production, we always perform the following:

Standard measurements: Touch protection, insulation test and protective conductor continuity measurements in accordance with the EN 60204-1 machine safety standard.
Functional testing: I/O tests and physical verification of control logic before on-site installation.
Complete documentation: We deliver the cabinets with up-to-date electrical documentation and CE declaration of conformity in printed and digital format, the digital form of which can even be stored in the corporate management system.
